The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball earned its second win last evening. The Bearcats improved to 2-0 by defeating a rugged East Tennessee State Buccaneers at the Fifth Third Arena, 77-64.

After a back and forth first half, Cincinnati pulled away in the third period and expanded the lead into an even more comfortable margin by the final buzzer.

The victory counts as revenge for Cincinnati, who suffered a road loss to the Buccaneers early last season.

Senior guard Nikira Goings topped the Bearcats’ scoring sheet, pumping in 24 points, including 5 three-pointers.

The Bearcats return to action on Monday night at 7 PM against Old Dominion at the Fifth Third Arena. This will be the final game of their opening homestand and, for those who can’t attend in person, it will be televsied on GoBearcats.com.
