The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team improved to 7-5 in the American and 15-10 overall this afternoon.
The Bearcats wowed the fans at St. Ursula Academy, pummeling the Tulane Green Wave by a score of 83-52.
Tulane fell to 4-8 in the league and 12-13 overall with the loss.
Cincinnati broke open a 16-13 game in the second quarter, building a 19 point advantage by halftime. The Bearcats cruised in the second half, enabling 11 different players to score.
Freshman forward IImar’i Thomas topped Cincinnati’s scorers with 18 points. Junior guard Nikira Goings kicked in 15 points while Senior front court stalwart Shanice Johnson added 12 points.
Cincinnati returns to action next Saturday February 17th, at home at St. Ursula Academy against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes at 2 PM.
