Bearcats earn fourth consecutive victory

The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team earned their consecutive victory in a weekday matinee in Philadelphia. UC scored a decisive 70-52 road win over the Temple Owls.

Senior co-captains Ana Owens and Shanice Johnson propelled Cincinnati to victory, each posting a game high 24 points.

The Bearcats broke open a fairly competitive game in the fourth quarter. After three quarters, Cincinnati held a 43-35 advantage before dominating the fourth frame, 27-17.

The victory improves the Bearcats record to 17-10 overall and 9-5 in the AAC, assuring them their first winning conference record since joining the league.

Temple fell to 10-17 with the loss and 2-12 in the American.
