Bearcats Pummel UCF for 15th Straight Win, 77-40

Cincinnati takes early advantage and never look back

The Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball team pummeled their counterparts from the University of Central Florida (UCF) from pillar to post for 40 minutes. UC won by a landslide this evening, hammering the Knights 77-40 at BB&T Arena.

The sixth ranked Bearcats improved to 22-2 with the win and 11-0 in the American Athletic Conference.

UCF fell to 14-9 overall and 5-6 in the American with the loss.

The Bearcats dominated the first half of this game, taking a 33-13 lead into the locker room. They dominated the Knights on the boards (48-31 in total), which facilitated the entirety of Cincinnati’s basketball operations early in the game. UC jumped out to an 18-2 lead with 8 minutes remaining in the half and never looked back.

Eleven different Bearcats played at least 10 minutes. Every one of them scored.

Four different Cincinnati players scored in double figures: Justin Jennifer (11), Gary Clark (12), Kyle Washington (13), and Trevor Moore (14).

Ceasar DeJesus led UCF with 12 points.

Cincinnati heads down to Dallas for their next game. They have a 4 PM showdown on Sunday with the SMU Mustangs.
