Two members of the Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team garnered All-American Athletic Conference (AAC) honors yesterday.
Senior point guard and co-captain Ana Owens was selected to the All-AAC Third Team.
Freshman forward IImar’i Thomas was named to the All-Freshman team.
The All-Conference first and second teams were filled with members of the UConn Huskies and South Florida Bulls, both of whom are widely considered contenders for the NCAA Championship.
The Bearcats return to action today at 8:30 PM, as they face 12th seeded Tulsa in an AAC Quarterfinal matchup in Uncasville, Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Yesterday, Tulsa stunned 5th seeded Houston, 98-72.
