Women’s Basketball Falls to Temple, 78-70

Fall Apart in Fourth Quarter

The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team snapped a two-game winning streak on Sunday. UC fell 78-70 to the Temple Owls in Philadelphia.

The Bearcats were tied at 57 heading into the fourth quarter but Temple went on a 12-0 run to start the final frame. Senior co-captain and guard Aliya Butts guide the Owls to victory, posting 23 points on 7 of 19 shooting. Mia Davis provided a strong low-post presence for Temple, pumping in 17 points and garnering 13 rebounds.

Cincinnati was led by Antoinette Miller (16 points) and Ilmar’i Thomas (15 points), who posted her 14th consecutive game in double figures.
