WBB Opens with 73-67 victory, thanks to Thomas

The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team opened their 2020-2021 campaign the way that they raced towards the finish line last March—with an exciting victory.

Led by senior captain and AAC co-preseason Player of the Year Iimar’i Thomas, the Bearcats outlasted a game Northern Kentucky club 73-67 in overtime at the Fifth Third Arena.

The senior forward pumped in 34 points en route to victory, a career-high for the perennial double-double machine.
