On Tuesday, the release of the Jim Thorpe Award Watchlist confirmed what we already knew. Cincinnati has the best secondary in college football.

Today, the folks at the Ray Guy Award confirmed something else that we already knew. James Smith is one of the best punters in college football. He was named to the Ray Guy Award Watchlist for the third consecutive season.

Smith, a long and lithe Australian, has earned All-AAC honors in each of his first three seasons with the Bearcats. In his three previous collegiate campaigns, Smith has averaged better than 42.0 yards per punt each season.

What a way to cap off his college career it will be for him to win the Ray Guy Award.
