MLB.com is reporting that the Washington Nationals will be singing two-time All Star and Cincinnati Bearcats legend Josh Harrison.
Interestingly, the Nationals were not among the teams described as being in the mix for Harrison’s services, which included the Reds, the Yankees, and the Rangers.
Washington is in fact a good landing spot for Harrison. He provides some more depth in the Nationals’ infield and offers them an additional bat in the year of the universal DH.
Washington’s need for an additional bat, especially in the short term, became more evident when their young slugger Juan Soto tested positive for the coronavirus on Opening Day. Adding a veteran like Harrison to Washington’s potential lineup is a wise investment in this environment.
