What a pleasure it has been to watch Cincinnati legend Gary Clark turning out for the Orlando Magic during the bubble. Clark’s minutes and contribution have steadily increased over the course of the last few games. He has gone from a role-playing contributor/defensive stopper to a full fledged starter in just a couple of weeks.
On Sunday evening, Clark was one of the best players on the floor in an overtime shootout against the Celtics. Orlando lost 122-119 but it sure wasn’t Gary Clark’s fault. He posted 15 points on 5 of 8 shooting in nearly 34 minutes of game action. Clark’s efforts on the defensive end were even more impressive as he hounded the likes of Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward while snagging 7 rebounds.
Orlando’s got two more games in the bubble, which I encourage you to check out. With performances like these, Gary Clark is bound to find a long-term home in the NBA in the 2020-2021 season.
Here’s the condensed game against the Celtics, featuring many highlights from our very own Gary Clark.
