Saturday’s matchup between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Army Black Knights will be the rubber match in their series.
Before their September 26th matchup, Cincinnati and Army have played six times, splitting the series evenly at three games a piece. Five of the six matchups took place in a series that ran between 1998 and 2004.
Their one much earlier matchup took place in 1963, when Army clobbered the Bearcats 22-0.
The Bearcats have won three of the last four match-ups between the schools but fell to the Black Knights in their most recent game in 2004.
Here are the highlights from Cincinnati’s most recent match-up with Army, a 48-29 defeat at the hands of a Bobby Ross coached club. The win snapped Army’s 19 game losing streak.
