In the midst of a thus-far rough season, there are still bright spots.
Today was one of them. The Bearcats and the Tulane Green Wave put on an exciting, back-and-forth battle this afternoon down at Tulane’s Devlin Fieldhouse.
Senior guard Keith Williams led the way for the Bearcats with 20 points but it was freshman forward Tari Eason who had the real coming out party against Tulane. The Seattle native posted a career-high 13 points on 6 for 9 shooting this afternoon.
Eason sealed the deal for the Bearcats as well, grabbing his own rebound with 43 seconds remaining and pumping in the game-winning basket.
Cincinnati improves to 3-4 in the league and 5-7 overall with the win while Tulane falls to 2-7 in conference play and 7-7 overall.
Cincinnati returns to action on Thursday when they head to Memphis for a tilt with the Tigers. Check back for full coverage of that contest.
