Bearcats Find a Way to Win, Advance to Semis

What a great team effort by the Bearcats yesterday!

In the AAC quarterfinals, the Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball team hung on for a 76-69 victory over the SMU Mustangs on Friday afternoon.

It was great to see so many Bearcats contribute to the cause: Jeremiah Davenport, Tari Eason, Mika Adams-Woods, and Zach Harvey all reached double figures.

Certainly, it got a little close for comfort down the stretch. The 20 point cushion of six minutes remaining in the game got as small as three. But a win is a win, especially in the conference tournament.

Cincinnati’s attention turns to Wichita State for the AAC semifinals. The Shockers found themselves in a battle yesterday against the University of South Florida, coming up with a 68-67 victory. Let’s hope Cincinnati turns this one into a battle and finds a way to come out on top, just like they did against the Mustangs yesterday.
