Check out Cincinnati Bearcats great Ian Happ, describing in great detail his most recent Spring Training homerun for the Chicago Cubs on his fantastic podcast, The Compound.
Happ is having a strong spring for the North Side Nine, stroking out a .297 batting average in 37 at-bats. He is sporting a .422 on-base percentage so far this Spring. Wouldn’t that be a nice figure for him to maintain in the regular season.
And he just might be able to do it.
Happ, still just 26 years old, enters his fifth MLB season with high hopes for a career year. The outfielder is come off an excellent 2020 campaign in which he belted 12 homeruns and drove in 28 in an abbreviated season for the Chicago Cubs.
He is looking trim and ready for the long haul of 162 games this Spring.
Thanks for your support for our site. We’ve got an exciting weekend of Bearcats baseball ahead of us. We will be following it closely and keeping your updated.
