What a way to finish the regular season.

The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team is on a roll.

They won their third consecutive game last night, heading down to Texas and ripping an excellent Houston Cougars team by a 65-57 mark.

Cincinnati (7-15, 6-12 AAC) outshot (.478 to .310) and outrebounded (37-36) a Houston team (15-6, 12-5 AAC) that rarely loses out in either category.

Leading the way for Cincinnati, as always, was reigning National Player of the Week IImar’i Thomas, who pumped in 30 points from the low post. Sophomore guard Caitlyn Wilson furthered asserted herself as one of the league’s best outside shooters, nailing four shots from beyond the arc for 12 points on the evening.

Cincinnati will be sitting and waiting for several days, awaiting their draw in the American Athletic Conference Tournament, which will begin on March 8th and be held at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
