What a way to end the non-conference slate!

The Cincinnati Bearcats outmuscled the #7 ranked Louisville Cardinals, earning a 13-12 victory in 10 innings.

Cincinnati baseball improved to 11-10 with the win, adding a serious spring to their step as they enter league play in the American Athletic Conference.

The Bearcats trailed as much as 8-2 in the early going before turning on the offensive firepower in the later innings.

Grad Student third baseman Eric Santiago led the way for the Bearcats with two homeruns and 5 RBIs on a 3 for 5 performance.

In fitting fashion, a Louisville native clinched the game for the Bearcats. First baseman Ryan Nicholson singled in the winning run in the bottom of the tenth inning.

The Bearcats’ turnaround is awfully fast. They hit the road for a four-game set of conference games with the East Carolina University that begins on Thursday afternoon down in Greenville, North Carolina.
