I didn’t see this one coming.

The Cincinnati Bearcats baseball team swept a highly-touted and accomplished Tulane Green Wave club this weekend. They beat them for four straight at the UC Baseball Stadium.

After winning both ends of a doubleheader on Thursday, Cincinnati rolled over the Green Wave by an 11-1 margin on Friday and finished off the sweep on Saturday with a 13-12 win.

Freshman outfielder Cole Harting put on a particular show this weekend. The West Chester, Ohio native batted .556 over the four games. Harting went 10 for 18 with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. He scored on 8 occasions over the weekend.

The wins this weekend improved Cincinnati’s overall mark for the season to 29-24 and 18-14 in the AAC. This phenomenal record puts the Bearcats in 4th place in the conference.

AAC Tournament play begins bright and early on Tuesday morning as the number 4 seeded Bearcats face off with the 5th seeded UCF Knights. The game will take place at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Florida and be broadcast on ESPN+.
