Two Cincinnati Bearcats Named to CFB Top 50 by Pro Football Focus

Your Cincinnati Bearcats are getting a ton of preseason respect from our friends at Pro Football Focus. Two Bearcats have been ranked about college football’s 50 best players for 2021 by PFF.

Bearcats corner Ahmad Gardner, the best cover man in all of college football, was ranked the number 5 player in the country by PFF. PFF deploys a wide range of stats to show that Gardner is virtually without equal among shutdown corners. The most eye-opening of these stats is that nobody has ever beat him for a touchdown.

Edge rusher Myjai Sanders checks in at number 34 on the list, citing the 6’5 speed rusher as a constant menace to opposing passing games.

Note that no players from any other American Athletic Conference schools earned a spot on the list.
