Cincinnati Bearcats legend Josh Harrison is having a fantastic 2021 campaign.

Harrison has been a stalwart down the stretch for the Oakland Athletics, hitting .288 over the last 40 games as the A’s have competed for an AL Wild Card spot.

For the season, Harrison, who began the year in Washington with the hapless Nationals, is hitting .292 with 8 home runs and 58 RBIs. He has also been a veritable double machine, smacking 33 so far this year.

Less than two years ago, Harrison looked to be on the way out of the Major Leagues. He was batting .175 in August 2019 for the Detroit Tigers when the club put him on waivers.

The 34-year-old Harrison has certainly revived his career in 2021 and merits consideration for Major League Baseball’s Comeback Player of the Year award.

Thanks as always for your support for Down the Drive and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
