Bearcats Announce Award Winners

The usual suspects headline.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

From Cincinnati.com

Senior quarterback Brendon Kay and senior linebacker Greg Blair were named the Claude Rost Offensive and Defensive Most Valuable Players, respectively, at the 2013 University of Cincinnati football awards banquet Wednesday night.

Kay and Blair are rather obvious picks for the main awards, both being the heart and soul of their particular unit. The balance of the award winners can be found in the link above. There aren't any real surprises in the lot, but I will admit to being kind of surprised that Deyshawn Bond wasn't a co-newcomer of the year with Zach Edwards. While Bond and Edwards are linked in my mind, they are not in others.
