Looking back at the News Record archives, a common April Fools joke in the ‘60s was to announce a new, domed, gigantic Nippert Stadium.

Of course what makes this particularly ironic is that when Cincinnati made their failed bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games a domed Nippert Stadium was part of the bid.
