I think we can all agree that its about damn time. Here is the quote from the official press release.
Offense: Isaiah Pead, RB, Cincinnati. Pead rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown in a 25-16 win against Louisville. Pead keyed Cincinnati’s comeback from a 16-7 halftime deficit with a 50-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that gave the Bearcats the lead for good.
And what do you know, I happen to have video of that selfsame play.
This is the second time that Pead has been named Big East Player of the Week. The other was on the heels of his staggeringly dominate 213 yard, 5 TD game against Rutgers last season. Also recognized for his fine work against the Cardinals was Derek Wolfe who was named to the weekly honor roll, this is also from the Big East release.
Had a career-high 11 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack and two quarterback hurries in a 25-16 win against Louisville.
Congrats to both Isaiah Pead and Derek Wolfe.
