Wide Receiver | Letters 2008-2011
D.J. Woods kind of defines the type of career you usually see with the guys who find their way onto the list. He defies the type because his two year peak came as a sophomore in 2009 and as a junior in 2010. He didn't go out with a bang as a senior, more with a whimper posting numbers that were significantly off the pace that he established as a sophomore and a junior.
Consider these numbers. in 2009 and 2010 Woods averaged 769 yards with 6 TD's. Last year Woods had 450 yards receiving with 2 TD's and was plagued with inconsistency throughout the Bearcats season. But in the final balance D.J. deserves a spot on the list. After all he ranks in the top 5 in Bearcats history in terms of catches (159 4th) and yards (2156, 5th) and had streak of 28 games with at least one reception.
