Commitment palooza rolls on. Another day two more commitments. Obviously there was Kevin Johnson earlier in the day. News broke late tonight that Marquez Lanton a 6'2" 170 pound speed merchant of Wide Receiver out of Memphis has committed to the Bearcats coming on an offer out of the Bearcats camp.

Its easy to make a huge deal out of fake forty times, but Lanton is a legitimate track star. Not on the level of a Jeff Demps or a Trindon Holliday, but Lanton could go to a major college on a track scholarship if he wasn't coming to UC for Football.

Lanton is the reigning Tennessee State Champ in the long jump and has personal bests of 10.81 in the 100 and 22.49 in the 200. Again he is a burner and has the ability to instantly take the top off a defense with his speed. Another great get for Butch Jones and Co. With Lanton and Mykel Traylor-Bennett in the fold I think that the Bearcats are done at wideout unless it is an elite guy. Highlights after the jump.

Update: Everyone seems to have jumped the gun on this, including me as well. Lanton should be considered a soft commit at this point.
