Clayton Picks All the Games Correctly: Week 9- The All Music Video Edition

I am letting the likes of Steve Winwood, Phil Collins, and Danzig do the talking for me

Last weekend, “The Miss Cleo of College Football” flirted with perfection. This weekend, I am going to let the magic of music and motion pictures do the talking for me. Consider each one of these videos to be an interpretive dance that foretells the events of its chosen game.

Last Week: 8-7

Season to Date: 87-46

Our Game: BYE WEEK

Coach Fickell plans to use the bye week to get his old band together. They plan to perform at a local bar. After closing, they plan to try out a new tune that Coach has been itching to try out for months. I assume it will go something like this:

The Rest of the AAC:

Tulane at Memphis:

This Friday night game has a certain sultry feel to me. I can’t put it into words. Thankfully, Steve Winwood has already put it into words, music, and motion pictures for me.

Final Score: Tulane 38 Memphis 34

Tulsa at SMU:

Hot Dang! The AAC’s other Friday night matchup feels all steamy and noirish too. Guess I am going to have to go back to Phil Collins to tell the story of this one.

Final Score: SMU 49 Tulsa 10

Austin Peay at UCF:

Even during Saturday afternoon games like this one, the Night Belongs to Michelob.

Final Score: UCF Michelob Austin Peay Michelob Ultra

Houston at South Florida: OK, this one isn’t a music video but it is the truth. Houston is the Ultimate Warrior and South Florida is HHH.

Final Score: Houston 45 South Florida 20

Missouri at UConn:

Final Score: Missouri 31 UConn 17

The Rest of the Country:

NC State at Notre Dame:

Notre Dame is Barry. NC State is Maurice. The rest of us are all Robin.

Final Score: Notre Dame 24 NC State 21
