- Series history: Last season yielded a split series between these two. UC blew Tulsa away in Cincinnati but lost in overtime on the road. That has been the way of things in the all-time series with the Bearcats winning 14 of 16 games at home against the Golden Hurricane but splitting 16 contests as the visitor. Tulsa has also won both games at neutral sites.
The Cincinnati Bearcats are on fire. Not literally, of course, that would be extremely dangerous. Now that we’ve moved past the weak joke portion of the post, its time to touch on Wednesday’s matchup between the No. 14 Bearcats and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
UC (19-2, 8-0 American Athletic Conference) has won 12-straight games and has been taking no prisoners along the way. The Bearcats most recently routed USF 94-53 on the back of a career-high 26 points from Jarron Cumberland.
Tulsa (12-8, 6-2) has been playing above its perceived pay grade in conference play. After being little more than an afterthought in the league’s coaches preseason rankings, the Golden Hurricane have won six of their eight league games and are a tough out at home (8-2).
