Philadelphia is currently encased in a major snowstorm, which has been called the bomb cyclone. But there is still basketball to be played tonight in the City of Brotherly Love. The No. 19 Cincinnati Bearcats will endure the elements (at least on the way to the arena) to play the Temple Owls in an American Athletic Conference joust at the Liacouras Center in North Philadelphia.

- Series history: After the Owls won three-straight games against them before the 2016-17 season, the Bearcats dropped Temple twice a year ago. UC now leads the all-time series 19-9, including a 5-4 mark on the road.
If every game in 2018 goes like Cincinnati’s first American Athletic Conference test, then the Bearcats will just waltz their way to a league title. They crushed Memphis 82-48 at BB&T Arena this past Sunday, winning their fifth-straight game and improving to 12-2 overall. This is a new challenge, however, as it is just the third true road game for the Bearcats this season (they split their first two). Ranked No. 19 in the country by the AP, UC is currently the No. 8 team in KenPom’s ratings, powered by the No. 4 adjusted defense in college basketball.
Temple (7-6, 0-2 AAC) has not had as wonderful a start to league play. The Owls lost to Tulane and Houston over the last week and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. They are just 3-2 at home this season and considered the No. 74 team in the country by KenPom, primarily because they do not defend anywhere near as well as the Bearcats.
