It was a rough night in Muncie for the Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team.
The Ball State Cardinals stampeded to a decisive halftime lead and never looked back, defeating UC by a count of 75-63.
Ball State dominated play in the second quarter, outscoring UC 18-6.
Freshman phenom Anna Clephane led the way for Ball State, pouring in 22 points, 14 of which came in the first half.
Cincinnati never recovered from the 12 point deficit it took into the locker room (38-26).
The now 5-3 Bearcats were led by junior guard Antoinette Miller, who posted 16 points in the loss.
