Women’s Basketball Falls to Miami (Ohio), 78-65

Bearcats fall to 5-5

The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team fell to 5-5 this evening, falling on the road to the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks, 78-65.

UC dropped its third consecutive game, the final stop on a rough three-game road stretch.

Miami jumped to an early lead, holding a 23-17 advantage on the Bearcats after one frame. The Redhawks extended their lead to 15 in the second quarter and headed to the locker room with a 43-28 advantage.

Cincinnati never made this game this close in the second half. Miami held double-digit leads for the remainder of the contest.

Junior forward Angela Rizor led the way for Cincinnati with 13 points while junior guard Sam Rodgers added 11 points.

The Bearcats return to action and return home to the Fifth Third Arena on Friday night at 7 PM in a non-league contest with Virginia Commonwealth University.
