The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team fell to 9-6 overall and 1-1 in the American last evening, dropping an 82-38 decision to perennial national powers UConn.
Before a full house in Storrs, the Huskies jumped out to a 17-0 lead from which Cincinnati never recovered.
Junior guard Antoinette Miller led the way for Cincinnati, posting 16 points in her top scoring performance of the season.
All-American Katie Lou Samuelson topped the box score for UConn, posting a 23-point, 10-rebound double-double.
With the defeat, Cincinnati fell to 0-20 all time against the Huskies.
