The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team overcame an 8-point fourth quarter deficit to earn a place in the round of 8 in the WNIT.
Cincinnati beat Butler 72-65, pulling away in the final frame, which amounted to a 24-9 Cincinnati run. Butler led for most of the second and third quarters but Cincinnati ended the game on a 13-2 run, putting the outcome in doubt well before the final buzzer.
Junior guard Sam Rodgers posted a career high 23 points in the victory while her fellow junior Antoinette Miller kicked in 20 points.
