Yesterday was my last day as site manager at Down the Drive. After more than three years of leading the site and covering everything from American Athletic Conference basketball titles to a stunning run to the NCAA baseball tournament this past spring, I decided it was time to take a step back.
You’ll still see me around the site as I’ll be a regular contributor but for now, the site will be under new direction. I’d like to thank all the contributors who I have worked with over the last few years, especially Clayton Trutor, who has written some of the best content the site has produced in my time as manager and been an irreplaceable part of the staff. I’d also like to thank all of you for reading, commenting and making Down the Drive what it is today.
Now enough with the partial goodbyes. Let’s talk about what’s next. As you may have seen on Twitter last week, Down the Drive has a new manager in Michael Schneid. Mike is a 2011 graduate of Cincinnati and already has his own media empire. He’s got some great ideas for the future of the site — including the launch of Down the Drive’s presence on Instagram — so keep your eyes out for even more Bearcats coverage in the weeks and months to follow.
That’s it for now. Thank you for reading and go Bearcats.
