A Brief History of Cincinnati vs. Austin Peay

The Bearcats Seem to Have the Governors’ Number

The Cincinnati Bearcats have a pleasant history against the Austin Peay Governors.

UC has played Austin Peay on six occasions. The Bearcats have come up victorious on each occasion.

The series began with a resounding 31-9 Bearcats victory in September 1985. The most recent contest was the closest of the six games, a 26-14 Cincinnati victory during Luke Fickell’s first season at the helm (2017). The 2017 contest was also the only game that Cincinnati did not win by at least 20 points.

Considering the beatdown that Pitt laid on Austin Peay last weekend, it seems quite probable that Cincinnati will continue in its tradition with the Governors.
