Cincinnati Bearcats standout Josiah Deguara had an excellent NFL debut last Sunday.
He figured prominently in the Green Bay Packers’ game plan against the Minnesota Vikings. Deguara played both H-back and tight end for the Packers, providing both pass protection and support in the running game in Green Bay’s 43-34 road win over the Vikings. In all, he was in the game for 24 snaps.
Deguara came out of the backfield late in the first half to make his first NFL catch on a 12 yard dump-off pass from future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.
Unfortunately, the UC standout has been limited this week by a shin injury, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.
Let’s hope Josiah recovers quickly and continues to make noteworthy contributions for the Packers in his rookie season.
