UPDATE: The Philadelphia Eagles announced that Michael Warren II has been cut along with several other running backs, including Elijah Holyfield. We will update this story throughout the day.
NewJersey.com is reporting that former UC standout running back Michael Warren is on the bubble for earning a roster spot with the Eagles.
Warren has looked strong in Eagles camp but he is a fierce battle for the likes of Elijah Holyfield and Adrian Killins for the final spot in Philadelphia’s backfield depth chart.
NFL teams are required to cut down from 81 to 53 players by 4 PM on Saturday, so Warren will soon know his fate with the Eagles.
Michael Warren will be a fantastic addition to any NFL backfield. At Cincinnati, twice earned more than 1,000 rushing yards in a season and twice earned second team All-AAC honors. He is Cincinnati’s all-time career leader in rushing touchdowns.
Warren signed as a free agent with the Eagles following the 2020 NFL Draft.
