Your Cincinnati Bearcats have not fared well historically against our friends from New Orleans.
The Tulane Green Wave hold an 11-6 advantage in the all-time series against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
The Bearcats dropped their first 4 meetings against Tulane, a cluster of games that took place over the first three-quarters of the 20th century.
Tony Mason’s Bearcats of ‘76 finally got a win against the Green Wave, a 21-14 decision down in New Orleans, but that was hardly the beginning of smooth sailing.
Until the clubs began playing in the AAC in the past decade, Tulane held an 11-3 advantage in the series. The Bearcats have taken the last three meetings (2014, 2017, 2018).
This year’s seniors are the only players on Cincinnati’s roster that have suited up against Tulane.
In 2018, Cincinnati topped Tulane 37-21, helping the Bearcats improved to 6-0 on the season. Desmond Ridder was already firmly ensconced as QB1 and tossed a pair of TD passes in the win. Michael Warren II busted out for an 81-yard TD run as well.
