USF Game Prediction and Where to Watch

Luke Fickell’s squad continues conference play this weekend as they take on the Bulls of South Florida who are dead last in the American Athletic Conference. The spread (Cats, -27.5) would lead you to believe this will be a cake walk, but one thing I’ve learned is to never take conference play for granted.

The Bulls have a fairly balanced offense, averaging 174 passing yards and 169 rushing yards per game. However they still average nearly 100 offensive yards less than the Bearcats (295 passing, 144 rushing). Although our defense has been stout, the true advantage in this game will be the Cats’ offense against the Bulls’ defense. The Bulls are giving up 218 rushing yards per game and Cincinnati has a full complement of backs to wear them down. I’ll be looking for a dominant run game with Kriner, McClelland and maybe we’ll see Montgomery get into the mix. I foresee Tyler Scott having a big game again. I think the Bearcats take this one, 45-21.
