Dwight Jackson Commits To Cincinnati: Update

Dwight Jackson, a 6'1" 218 OLB/DE hybrid committed to the Bearcats recently. I can't give you a specific date because I don't have a subscription to any of the Bearcat related sights. All I do know is that Jackson popped up on the list of public commits today. And was accompanied with this tweet by Chris Nee, who has made quite a string of appearances in this space this week.

As the tweet says Jackson can play either position at the next level, which is great because UC still has big needs at OLB and at DE. He is very raw as a DE but I think that is where he winds up. His get off is great right now but he needs to develop a couple of consistent pass rushing moves and bulk up a little bit. If he winds up sticking at DE for UC he is a candidate for a red shirt. Jackson chose UC over offers from Kentucky, Kansas State, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, USF and UCF among others. More info after the jump and check out the updated 2011 recruiting map.

Update: As of the 17th Jackson is no longer listed among the UC commitments by rivals.

Update(again): Jackson is back on the list of UC commits on rivals as a soft commit, same as before.
