This is one of those combined posts that I usually hate to read on other sites. But my computer has been up and down since Thursday night so I probably only have so much time to get something out that touches on these two topics. Starting with the good. Isaiah Pead starred in his Senior Bowl appearance. Setting a Senior Bowl record with 98 punt returns in the first half. He also led the north squad in rushing with 31 yards on 8 carries. Basically he made a ton of money for himself with his performance and was named the MVP of the game to boot. Pead is the second Bearcat to win the Senior Bowl MVP, the other being Jack Lee back in 1960. Derek Wolfe was also in the game and notched 3 tackles for the North defensive line. Both guys will now get prepped for the combine, which is more or less 4 weeks away, where both guys will try to further boost their stock.
In depressing news the Bearcats have now dropped three straight after bombing the Rutgers game. I didn't see it , but from all that I have read it was a thoroughly disappointing performance. I am not ready to push the NIT button, which most people seem all too eager to push right now. The Bearcats just wrapped up the toughest part of the Big East slate. It's not a cake walk from here on out, but no teams loom that large over the remainder of the schedule.
That is all. Hopefully my machine will be good to go tomorrow and the regular schedule will resume.
