Cronin on UC’s inability to follow the defensive game plan: "We gave them way too many easy baskets that we didn’t make them earn because we weren’t following the game plan, which is on the staff. It’s our job to make sure we follow the game plan, so I’m very upset with the staff and myself right now."

Bearcats Drop 46-45 Heartbreaker to Bulls | Bearcats Blog
The most frustrating part of the game came late. After UC took the lead with under a minute left, UC ran the clock all the way down. A near steal by Justin Jackson pushed USF to the timeline with 8 on the shot clock. The Bulls tried going inside to Ron Anderson Jr with TWO ON THE SHOT CLOCK when Yancy Gates stupidly tried to go for a steal. Yes, he got a lot of ball. Yes, he crashed into him with his body, which drew the foul. Just a stupid, stupid, stupid foul. When you give a team multiple chances to score, they will. Anderson is only 49% from the line. He got rim help on the first and netted the second.
