Bearcats eager for St. John's rematch | Cincinnati.com | cincinnati.com

The Red Storm has started five freshmen in its last four games, going 2-2 in those games, including a 16-point win at home against West Virginia. St. John’s boasts two of the top freshmen in the league, if not the country, in Harrison, the leading freshman scorer in the Big East at 16.7 points per game, and Harkless, who’s not far behind at 16.2. DeAngelo has averaged 18.7 points in conference games, which puts him fourth in the league.

Moe Harkless is going to be at the top of my hate index for this game. No question about it.

Johnnies look to bounce back against familiar Bearcats - Rumble In The Garden

When St. John's met Cincinnati a month ago in the Midwest, the Bearcats put forth an uncharacteristically bad effort. A team that has converted 42% of its field goal attempts and 36% of its three-point attempts only hit reached 25% and 21% on January 7th when the Red Storm squeaked out a 59-57 win. "I thought they had a bad game, but I'd like to think we had something to do with it," Mike Dunlap mentioned Tuesday. "They got a lot of long rebounds for second possessions and only scored on one of them. Realistically, it was half us and half them."

Previewing St. John’s Round Two: This Time We’re Out for Blood / Bearcats Nation

- Harkless/Harrison: This duo has been tearing it up for St. John’s all season. The problem for teams is that they don’t know how to match-up with Harkless in particular. While he is listed as a forward, he plays more like a really, really tall guard similar to how UC’s coaches have described Shaq Thomas. Harkless can grab rebounds and attack the rim with ease. UC big men have been slow to react to quicker forwards and the Bearcat guards will have trouble containing Harrison.

Football Recruting

Kenneth Bynum Set to Make Decision Thursday / Bearcats Nation

Despite what you hear about him ‘enjoying his visit to Knoxville’, every recruit says that about their trips to prospective schools. Don’t read too much into it. That being said, Derek Dooley in his desperation to sign Bynum and save his job probably pulled out all the stops to get his John Hancock on a Tennessee LOI. You can bet that Kenneth will have a difficult decision to make over the next 24-48 hours.

Odds are less than 50/50 at this point that Bynum signs with UC
