First there is movement on the Bearcats Basketball schedule but not of the Kentucky variety. UC and New Mexico have agreed to a home and home series starting this coming season in Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats will travel to the new and improved Pit the following season. Lets just say upgrade. The trend in the sport is to move these kind of games to neutral sites so getting a home and home is great for both schools. For UC it is vital to improve the home schedule/attendance in the non conference which has been laughably terrible for the past three or so years. This season the non conference slate looks good with the global sports classic in Vegas, the Downtown Shootout, a game against an SEC school to be named later and now the home and home with the Lobo's. I can live with that.

What has been assumed for weeks is now out in the open thanks to TCU AD Chris Del Conte. Namely that Florida State and Clemson have a strong interest in joining the Big 12. That was never a surprise. Florida State has all but pledged fealty to DeLoss Dodds Bob Bowlsby publicly. But as recently as last week Clemson was playing the old "we haven't talked with ANYONE." and the summer of the Big 12 rolls on.
