Linebacker | Lettered 2005-08

It just makes sense that Ryan Manalac and Andre Revels would find themselves together again on this list. And as the crafter of this list I can assure you that this is 100 per cent on purpose. While both were on campus Revels never started a game. Manalac was the guy he played the majority of the snaps, he made the majority of the tackles and he generally asserted himself as the alpha male of the line backing core. But the two are inextricably linked in my mind, and I am betting that is true of the minds of other Bearcat fans as well.

Manalac wasn't the vocal leader that Revels was, but he had a knack for making big plays at the biggest moments. That knack for making plays is innate and it is something that served him, and the Bearcats, well. Never more so than in the Rutgers game in 2007 when he made the game clinching interception. That was Manalac in a nutshell. Always in the right place at the right time.
