Offensive Line | Lettered 2006-09

Three years out from the Brian Kelly era one thing that is surprising when you look back at those teams is just how good they were up front. UC never ran for a ton of yardage but when they did run they were productive, running for 4.15 yards per attempt and giving up just 5% of the Bearcats passing attempts. One of the guys at the center of that unsung group was Jeff Linkenbach who became a very good left tackle for Brian Kelly after taking a year to adjust to the new demands of the position as Kelly envisioned it. But he really hit his stride in 2008 and was a keystone of the Bearcats first two Big East title winning teams. It can be hard to appreciate good offensive line play, but I for one dearly missed Link during the 2010 season.
