Defensive Back | Lettered 1998, 2000-02

The peak of the Rick Minter era, if there can be a peak for a coach with a career losing record came at the turn of the century. Like Tony Mason Minter built his team from the defense out and there never seemed to be a shortage of talent on that side of the ball, particularly in the secondary.

Adams played alongside Tinker Keck, Doug Monaghan and DeJuan Gossett at various points. But his career never had a smooth trajectory. He started strong with a C-USA All Freshman team season in 1998 and ended strong with second team all C-USA selection as a Senior. But in between was a season ending injury and a lot of inconsistency. Adams did get it sorted out in the end on Rick Minters only conference winning squad.
