Quarterback / Punter | Letters 1948-49

Sid GIlman came to Clifton with a plan. A definitive set of ideas about the game of Football that would come to revolutionize the game, a revolution that is ongoing and visible on your TV every Saturday and Sunday. All he needed were some players to execute his cunning plan, and the first one was Tom O'Malley who was the incumbent starter when Gilman inherited the team. O'Malley was the captain and triggerman of that team which went 7-4 and reached a bowl for the second time in four seasons. None of O'Malley's records stand today but his name is enshrined on the Nippert ring of Honor.
