Linebacker | Letters 2001-04
Another local kid, and by local I mean hyper local, Hughes High School local who made good with the Bearcats. Frazier was twice an All City selection for Hughes before moving onto UC where he became a stalwart for Rick Minters squads including the 2002 team that won the Conference USA title, UC's only one from the C-USA era.
Where Frazier makes his mark though is the sheer volume of his disruptive abilities. There are exactly two players in UC history with 20 or more sacks and 40 or more tackles for loss for a career. Andre Frazier is one, Antwan Peek is the other*. Frazier and Peek are what made the defense of the Bearcats at the turn of the millennium so formidable
* Peek tops the chart with 27 sacks and 56 tackles for loss, both records which look mighty comfortable.
