Ben Flick Is Laid To Rest, Mark Barr's Condition Still Critical But Improving

People came out in droves for Ben Flick's memorial last night in Hamilton including the entire UC Football team and support staff which bussed up from Clifton to say their goodbyes. Flick's funeral and funeral took place today.

Flick's funeral was held this morning at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Hamilton. He was laid to rest at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Hamilton as well. All our thoughts remain with the Flick's and the VanDyne's as they endure what no family should have to endure.

Mark Barr remains at the UC Medical Center today. He is still listed in critical condition, but is reported to be improving.

St. Thomas athletic director George Smith, who has been communicating with Cincinnati officials, told the Sun-Sentinel he received an update at 1 p.m. that swelling in Barr's brain had gone down and that Barr was responding to voice commands, including giving two thumbs up.

Earlier, Barr underwent a successful procedure to alleviate fluid around his brain, Smith said, and grabbed his mother's hands in response to communication. Barr's parents flew north to visit him in the hospital.

I am pulling Barr to pull through.
