According to Ryan Bartow of 247Sports, '15 LB Fermin Silva has a lead group that includes Cincinnati, Marshall and Temple. This is an impressive job by offensive coordinator Eddie Gran and the Bearcats for jumping in the lead group for the former Thundering Herd commit after offering him just one week ago. The update from Bartow includes Silva's prospective on the UC program.
"They are a big school," Silva said of Cincinnati. "They did real well last year. They have an up and coming program." -Fermin Silva to Ryan Bartow.
The Miami Central (HS) prospect is a three-star in the class of 2015. Silva has piled up offers from Appalachian State, Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Marshall, South Florida, Temple, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan. A few schools that are keeping tabs on Silva and could possibly extend an offer are Florida State, Louisville and Miami (FL).
The 6'2, 225-pounder is the 88th overall outside linebacker in the nation, the 180th overall player in the state of Florida and the 1,282nd overall player in the 2015 recruiting class.
The Bearcats will be in a battle for Silva as they hope to pair him with a host of linebackers that includes Matthew Draper, Ulysees Gilbert and Bryce Jenkinson.
