Offensive coordinator Eddie Gran and the Bearcats continue to make their mark in the state of Florida. UC currently has commitments from six Florida prospects in the 2015 class and are going back down to the sunshine state for 2016. Cincinnati has already extended 28 offers to players in the state of Florida from the 2016 class and has now put themselves in great position for one of them.

According to Ryan Bartow of 247Sports, '16 LB Greg Simmons named a top three, in no order, that included Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic and Miami (FL). The 6'2, 225-pound prospect from Fort Pierce Central (FL) currently holds offers from the Bearcats and the Owls. The Hurricanes are showing interest but have not offered at this time.

Simmons is currently ranked as the 15th overall inside linebacker, the 60th overall prospect from the sunshine state and 451st overall player in the 2016 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking.
